About Me!!

Hi! My name is Ahmed Massoud. I am a Software Engineer at Amazon Web Services in Berlin, Germany, working on CodeBuild. I like fixing things.

I build distributed, multi-tenant execution platforms that run customer code in secure environments to build their software. The interesting problems: running untrusted code safely, deciding how much compute to keep warm and where, staying up when a region isn't, and automating operations with agents until the pager mostly stays quiet.

Daytime Hobbies

2024–now	SDE II, AWS Berlin - AWS CodeBuild & Amazon Q Developer I work on the multi-tenant execution platform behind AWS CodeBuild and Amazon Q Developer - the systems that run customer workloads across every AWS commercial region. Day to day that means distributed-systems work (traffic routing, regional isolation, fleet provisioning and autoscaling) plus building agentic AI tooling that automates production investigations and keeps operations quiet.
2023–24	SDE, AWS Berlin - Fault Injection Service Chaos engineering and resilience tooling: I built distributed load-testing infrastructure and automated fault-injection workflows for finding out how production-scale systems behave when things break - before customers notice.
2021–22	Full Stack Developer, NovaLabs - Doha, Qatar Full-stack work on a multi-tenant e-commerce SaaS platform - payment workflows, tenant data isolation, and the consistency guarantees in between. Contributed RTL text support to an open-source PDF renderer along the way.
2020–21	Software Developer, QuickByte - Doha, Qatar Backend services, real-time features, and CI/CD pipelines for a FoodTech platform.
